Doctor Daycare believes that uniforms give students a sense of belonging to a particular school and create an identity for the school in the community. Uniforms are supposed to instill discipline, a sense of self-worth, and equality in students.

In the US, a growing number of Pre-Schools and child-care centers are requiring children to wear uniforms. Many parents like the ease of dressing children in uniforms and say it usually costs less than other clothing.

Uniforms reinforce feeling part of a group for children even in Pre-School, "if you put a yellow or purple shirt on a child, he or she knows 'I'm getting ready for a fun day at Doctor Daycare'.
